Altenew Embossing Powders & Scrapbook Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

10:00:00 PM

Welcome to the Altenew October 2017 Release Blog Hop! It's Dana here and I'm so excited to join this hop. I hope you came from Reiko's blog but if not, please check the full blog hop list in the bottom of this post.

Altenew just released new embossing powders and scrapbook collection. As a cardmaker, I'm sharing 4 cards using embossing powders today. Let's get started!

[ Altenew Crisp Embossing Powders ]

Among newly released embossing powders, I got 4 of them and here are simple color swatches. I heat embossed Altenew Halftone Stars onto white, black, kraft card stock using each embossing powders below.

[ Altenew Copper, Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder -1 ]

For my first card, I teamed up Altenew Build-A-Flower : Rose with Copper and Rose Gold embossing powders. After stamping and die cutting roses and leaves, I rubbed Versamark pad lightly around 4 edges of brown card stock. I then heat embossed it using Altenew Copper crisp embossing powder. Sentiment from Altenew More Than Words is heat embossed with Altenew Rose Gold crisp embossing powder

[ Altenew Copper, Rose Gold Embossing Powder -2 ]

For second card, I used same embossing powders with the first one, but I only used heat embossing technique in this time.

To begin, I die cut 'believe' word using Altenew Holiday Script Words Die from thick watercolor paper 2 times. I glued them each other and rubbed Versamark ink pad and heat embossed it with Altenew Copper crisp embossing powder. I repeated this process 3 times.

Next, I stamped flowers and other sentiment from Altenew Just Because stamp set with Versamark ink onto kraft paper. I then heat embossed them using clear embossing powder (flower) and Altenew Rose Gold crisp embossing powder (sentiment). To finish off, I splattered white drawing ink on the card stock and mounted 'believe' word as shown in the picture using glue.

[ Altenew Platinum, Copper Crisp Embossing Powder ]

With my 3rd card, I introduce fox from galaxy with his own spaceship called Hug Me. He comes here to be hugged by you. lol!

I started by stamping fox image from Altenew Hug Me stamp set. I colored him with copic markers and fussy cut the only fox with a small white space using scissors. (fox+hug me is a single image in the stamp set.) I then colored his edges using black marker.

Next, I die cut fox with hug me image using Altenew Hug Me Die Set. I rubbed it with Versamark ink and heat embossed 3 times using Altenew Platinum crisp embossing powder. I then popped up the fox using foam adhesive on heat embossed hug me die.

Galaxy background is watercolored with Gansai Tambi watercolor paint and I splattered white acrylic paint on the entire background. I copper heat embossed sentiment from same stamp set and mounted fox with hug me set using foam tape on galaxy background.

[ Altenew Caribbean Sky, Copper Crisp Embossing Powder ]

Do you want to build a snowman~ Come on let's go and play~~♬ For my last card, I used 6 Altenew products to build a snowy Christmas scene.

For my own snowman, I heat embossed Altenew Halftone Circles using Altenew Caribbean Sky crisp embossing powder. I then drew his arms with embossing pen and heat embossed them using Altenew Copper crisp embossing powder. I fussy cut entire snowman image using scissors and glued googly eyes on his face.

I ink blended background with Distress oxide inks. On the bottom, I put double sided wide tape which are cut to the hill shape with my free hand drawing. I then applied diamond dust on it.

Before stenciling falling snows using Altenew Tiny Bubbles Stencil with white texture paste, I die cut 'merry' word from Altenew Holiday Script Words Die and ink blended with Distress oxide ink and stamped sentiment from Altenew Happy Holidays stamp set.

To finish, I popped up 'merry' word and snowman using foam adhesives.

Hope you enjoyed my cards. Your next stop is amazing Kymona's blog! Don't forget to leave a comment for prizes and a giveaway. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Love,
Dana
