To celebrate first anniversary of Altenew Build A Flower series, I have two cards to share with you today. I kept same layout on my cards featuring Altenew Build A Flower Peony Blossom, but used different mediums and techniques. Let's get started!
For my first card, I
- Stamped 2 layered flowers from Altenew BAF Peony Blossom as shown in the picture with several dye inks.
- Sketched curve lines on vellum paper and cut them using scissors. Taped them slightly where I wanted.
- Using coordinating dies, I made 3 masks for each flowers. These dies fit perfectly to flower images without white space, so you can easily make mask image through just die cutting.
- Ink blended the area, between two curves, using Distress Oxide Inks softly. I used Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose.
- Splattered white opaque inks using water brush and peeled off the masks.
- Die cut more flower elements from vellum and gold glittery paper. Mounted them as shown.
- Gold heat embossed sentiments from Altenew Forever and Always. I used gold tinsel embossing powder for 'darling' and Altenew Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder for the other.
- Mounted flower panel onto A2 sized white card base. Embellished rose gold color sequins, too.
For my second card, I
- Drew curves similar with first design using pencil on watercolor paper.
- White heat embossed one layers of each flower images from Altenew BAF Peony Blossom.
- Watercolored them using Gansai Tambi watercolor paints as shown.
- Die cut smallest layer of flowers from silver glittery paper and mounted them.
- Stamped leaves from same stamp set using Distress Bundled Sage Oxide Ink and brushed images using waterbrush.
- Stenciled bubbles along with curve sketch line with Altenew Tiny Bubbles Stencil. I used Bundled Sage, Shaded Lilac and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks with water.
- Once them dried, I erased sketch lines.
- Heat embossed sentiment from Altenew Forever and Always stamp set using Altenew Platinum Crisp Embossing Powder onto vellum.
- Mounted watercolor panel on A2 sized white card base and embellished clear sequins here and there.
