Hello and welcome to the Altenew's 4th Anniversaray Blog Hop Day 1! It's Dana here and I'm so honored to be part of this special blog hop. I hope you came from Flora Monika Farkas's blog, but if not, please check out full blog hop list in the bottom of this post.
Happy Birthday, Altenew!
To celebrate Altenew's 4th birthday, I have two cards featuring Altenew products which are released in 2014-2018. Yes, I'm a big fan of Altenew! Here are what I came up with.
For my first card, I featured Altenew Happy Bloom Stamp Set released 2018 and Super Script Stamp set released 2014.
I started by gold heat embossing the bouquet image from Altenew Happy Bloom Stamp Set using Altenew Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder onto watercolor paper. I watercolored this image with Mijello Mission Gold Watercolor Paints.
Both sentiments are from Altenew Super Script Stamp Set. I gold heat embossed again with Altenew Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder and die cut it with Super Script Die Set using Altenew Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine.
I then folded a piece of white paper for flower bouquet as shown. To finish, I splattered white opaque inks here and there on A2 sized kraft card stock and mounted all pieces using foam adhesive.
What is your first product(s) from Altenew? Mines are Oriental Orchid Stamp Set which I bought 3 years ago with Vintage Flowers Stamp Set. I was so tempted to their beautiful layers, even though I had no color inks at that time. Lol.
I started off this card by stamping flowers from Altenew Oriental Orchid Stamp Set released 2015 with dye inks from Altenew Tea Party Mini Cube Set and Green Meadows Mini Cube Set using masking technique. I stamped one flower and two leaves onto another piece of card stock to give a dimension to final images.
I added details with Prisma Colored Pencils to all images and applied Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew to the part of orchids. After dried them completely, I fussy cut images using scissors.
I die cut the background panel using Altenew Watercolor Stripes Cover Die released 2018 from watercolor paper. I then softly watercolored both panels using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and spritzed watercolor droplets with Zig markers with water as well.
I die cut 'love' from Altenew Script Words Die Set released 2017 using Altenew Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine and ink blended it with same inks which I used for floral images. I mounted it onto a piece of black card stock and cut it again with scissors with some black outline.
I stamped another sentiment from Altenew Adore You Stamp Set released 2016 and foam mounted front panel to the other watercolor panel. To finish off this card, I mounted all elements as shown using glue tape and foam adhesive.
