Hello and welcome to the Altenew July 2018 Stencil Release Blog Hop! It's Dana here and I'm so excited to join this blog hop today. Hopefully you came here from Sveta Fotinia's blog and please check out full blog hop list in the bottom of this post if you need it. For today, I'm sharing 4 cards featuring new stencils. Let's get started!
For my first card, I pulled out A2 sized blue card stock and ink blended it with Altenew Desert Night Crisp Dye Ink. I then stenciled it using Altenew Flowing Drops Stencil with Nuvo Glimmer Paste Silver Gem.
After it dried, I sprayed white inks using Altenew Pure White Ink Spray and stenciled one more with glimmer paste.
For sentiments, I white heat embossed them from Altenew Crafty Life Stamp Set onto black card stock and cut them into circle and rectangle shape as shown. I die cut vellum circle and placed it behind the black one. Then, I mounted each sentiments using clear foam adhesive.
Next, I took a kraft paper and stenciled it with Altenew Aztec Motif Stencil. I used Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Inks and mini sponge dauber.
I die cut sentiment from kraft paper and black card stock using Altenew Script Words Die Set. Then, I stacked them up using glue tape.
To finish off this card, I stamped a sentiment from Altenew Forever and Always Stamp Set and tied up ribbon with hemp cord. Then, I mounted kraft panel onto green card stock and white card base.
For my next card, I pulled out bristol paper and stenciled it with Altenew Elegant Swirls Stencil and some distress oxide inks. I used Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feather.
To give it a dimension, I sandwiched stencil, stenciled panel and embossing pad between acrylic pads and ran them through my die cutting machine. Next, I die cut background panel using Altenew Dotted Scales Debossing Cover Die and splattered gold ink using Altenew Gold Metallic Ink Spray.
After it dried, I white heat embossed a sentiment from Altenew Crafty Life Stamp Set onto black paper and cut it with scissors. I adhered stenciled panel using glue tape and foam mounted the sentiment.
For my final card, I stenciled white card stock with Altenew Mega Hydrangea Stencil using Altenew Lavender Fields and Caribbean Sky Crisp Inks. I then dry embossed it using stencil and embossing pads.
I die cut Altenew Thinking Of You Die from white glitter card stock. Its sparkling is not shown well in the picture, but it goes well with soft background colors and I love the result.
I mounted stenciled panel onto beige card base and adhered some embellishments using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and finished off this card.
