Rubeena's Crafting Anniversary Blog Hop DAY ONE + Giveaways

10:00:00 PM

Welcome to Rubeena’s Crafting Anniversary 2-Day Blog Hop! It's Dana here and I'm so happy to be a part of this fabulous blog hop. Hopefully you came from amazing Rosali's blog, but if not please check out full bog hop list in the bottom of this post.

This hop is epic with more than 70 guests and over $1,000 in sponsored prizes! Not only are we celebrating four years since Rubeena first discovered cardmaking but also crafting in general. This industry is made up of wonderful individuals who are creative, inspirational, kind, and incredibly supportive! Hop along so you can learn about why we create and how much joy it brings us!

For today, I'm sharing a kind of friendship card. I've met so many sweet crafty friends so far through social media ( hope you also join with me on IG and blog), and some of them are taking a break now. I'm missing them so much and made this card.

To start, I pulled out photo paper and watercolored galaxy background with distress oxide inks and water using ink smooshing technique. I used colors from brighter to darker ones and let them dried between each steps using heat tool.

I then white heat embossed stars from Altenew Kind Words Stamp Set. I found photo paper is cracked when I heat set it for 4, 5 seconds without moving the heat tool. I don't like it in general, but it looks like constellation in this card and I get to the next step.

After heat embossing, I coated my background with Distress Micro Glaze using mini blending tool. Then, I made little white dots around stars using Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White.

Sentiment from same stamp set was gold heat embossed with Altenew Rose Gold Embossing Powder on black card stock. I popped it up using foam adhesive as shown.

To finish, I embellished with various crystals from Studio Katia and mounted galaxy panel onto A2 sized dark navy card stock.

That's all for today! Hope you enjoyed this card and thank you for stopping by my blog.
