Hello, crafty friends!
I can't believe that this is already the last day of August!
And it means it's time to start making holiday cards. right? :)
So today, I'm sharing my first Christmas card of 2016 with you.
I started off by brick stenciling on the watercolor paper using distress inks.
I used Vintage photo, Ground espresso, Black shoot, Antique linen, Fossilized amber and Barn door.
I then die cut the stenciled panel using two square dies to express fireplace.
From this step, background is completed!
Next, I stamped milk bottles from Sweet Tidings, light strand from Retro ornaments and dog from Happy Howl-didays stamp set of Avery Elle onto Strathmore bristol paper.
I colored them using Zig clean color real brushes.
For milk bottles, I used Carmine red, Wine red, Yellow, Green shadow and Pale grey, Haze blue.(these colors are not shown well in the pic)
For puppy coloring, I used Grey, Light grey, Oatmeal, Carmine red and Wine red.
I then white heat embossed the sentiments from Happy howl-idays stamp set.
To finished off, I assembled the all pieces where I wanted them on the card base using foam tape for dimension.
Puppy is waiting for his Santa with holiday milk bottles for him :)
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hugs, Dana.

Hello and welcome!
I've been MIA on the blog for a while and one of the reason is 'photo renewal' for my previous cards.
From today, I'll share results from time to time.
I made this card about 6 weeks ago and shared on my Instagram.
I'd like to believe this pic express my card beautifully more than that of on IG :)
For this card, I used 'Beautiful bouquet : ranunculus' stamp set from Wplus9.
I gold heat embossed the flower images and then watercolored it using Mijello mission gold.
Hope you enjoy this card.
Heartfelt thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Dana.
Hello, crafty friends!
Today I'd like to share with you flower card for current Altenew's inspiration challenge.
You are so beautiful inside and out.
You make me happy.
Thank you so much and... I love you❤
(The meaning of Korean sentiment)
First, I created my own background using zig clean color brush markers and water brush.
I love how feeling of Korean traditional painting turned out. The colors I used are 'pink', 'light gray', 'gray' and 'black'.
I stamped flower and leaves from Altenew's Wild hibiscus stamp set and setiments from Oriental orchid stamp set. After stamping, I add colors to edge of flower and leaves for pop up effect and cut out with square die.
Lastly, I mounted watercolor panel on white card base with double-sided tape ( in-square image) and foam tape (negative die cut panel).
I really like pink to gray color scheme of this month.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs, Dana.

Bunnies didn't know there are 2 more guests playing with them, but ghost bears thought that 'we are friend'. We don't hurt you. we just want to play with you. :)
Making Process
- Stamped bunnies and bears from MFT 'Snuggle bunnies' onto watercolor paper using Versafine 'Vintage Sepia'. I used making techniques.

- Watercolored bears with distress inks too. I used Salty ocean, Mermaid lagoon and Shaded lilac. I then watercolored ground using Crushed olive and Peeled paint.
- Drew details of bunnies and bears using Sakura Micron pen. The point is cute heart in center bunny's mouth :)
- After adding hemp cord, white heat embossed the sentiments on black card stock and cut it to fish tale shape using trimmer and scissors. I then foam mounted it.
- To finished off, mounted watercolor panel on card base using foam tape.

* CASology week #198 : Stencil

These bunnies remind me of the story that I strongly believed in my childhood, 'Moon Rabbit'.
As a Moon Rabbit story, rabbits pounding something in mortar and pestle live on the moon. Although 'something' in bowl differ from country to country, that is a ingredients of rice cake in Korea. I still remember young Dana was really shocked after knowing the 'fact' that there is no rabbit in the moon. That was a biggest issue at that time to me. LOL
From this memory, I created a following card 'Snuggle bunnies on the moon'.
From this memory, I created a following card 'Snuggle bunnies on the moon'.
For this card, I used a balloon edge die of MFT Die-namics blueprints 26 as a moon and mortar :) Using stamps or dies in creative way is so fun!
Making Process
- Die cut a stitched rectangle from a piece of watercolor paper using Blueprints 15 and cut it out again with a balloon edge die of Blueprints 26.
- For the moon, ink blended with distress ink, Mustard seed, Pumice stone and Black shoot.
- Before galaxy water coloring, drew a couple of pestles. I colored the background with distress inks and water brush. I used Faded jeans, Chipped sapphire, Seedless preserves, Black shoot, Festive berries and Mustard seed.
- After dried completely, added white watercolor paint splatter with water.
- Stamped bunnies using Versafine Vintage sepia on another watercolor paper. Coloring them with distress inks and water brush. I used Pumice stone, Tattered rose, Mermaid lagoon and Festive berries. Then fussy cut the bunnies and foam mounted them on the moon panel.
- For sentiment, die cut a fishtail flag from Blueprints 5. Before die cutting, I adhered black masking tape on the card stock and create black label. I then stamped sentiment with a Versamark ink and white heat embossed.
- To finished off, mounted all creations on a card base using double sided tape and embellished gold and silver hearts from Blueprints 5 die and clear gem stones.
After being ground by snuggle bunnies, the 'worries' turned into stars of galaxy and happiness of people in the Earth.
I hope you enjoy this moon rabbit card.
Thank you for stopping by. Hugs :)
