Hi, crafty friends! Welcome to the Altenew February 2018 Release Blog Hop! I'm so excited to be part of amazing blog hop. Hopefully you came here from Lilith's blog, but if not, check out full blog hop list in the bottom of this post.
Altenew released so many lovely products in this month and I have variety styles of 6 cards to share with you, today. Let's get started!
Altenew Forever and Always stamp set -1
For my first card, I
- Stamped flower bouquet images from Altenew Forever and Always stamp set with Memento Desert Sand.
- Colored images using Altenew Artist Markers Set A and Copic markers. Added a little bit details around each image lines using Prisma colored pencils.
- Stamped sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black. 'Smile' is from Altenew Happy Bloom stamp set and the other is from Altenew Forever and Always stamp set.
- Drew lines using Copic Multi Liner 0.1 as shown in the picture.
- Mounted flower panel onto A2 sized white card base.
Altenew Forever and Always stamp set -2
For my second card, I
- Stamped flower bouquets from Altenew Forever and Always stamp set 2 times with Versafine Onyx black using masking technique onto watercolor paper.
- Added soft watercolor wash on my background using Distress inks with water. I used Abandoned Coral, Seedless Preserves, Evergreen Bough, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade.
- Applied only water using waterbrush where I wanted to express watercolor lines and then dropped distress inks with water on it and let it flow down.
- Popped up the flower colors using same distress inks and some Copic markers for shadowing.
- Traced flower images again with Copic Multi Liner 0.1 and added highlights using white gel pen.
- Gold heat embossed the sentiment from Altenew Forever and Always stamp set with Altenew Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder onto baby pink card stock and trimmed down and foam mounted it as shown.
- Mounted watercolor panel on the pick card stock and glued it again on A2 sized white card base.
Birds of a Feather Stamp set, Die set
For my 3rd card, I
- Stamped birds from Altenew Birds of a Feather stamp set with various dye inks and die cut them with coordinating die set.
- Die cut branch from woodgrain card stock, too. Die cutting for this card, I used Altenew Mini Blossom Die cutting Machine.
- White heat embossed 'tweet!' sentiment from Altenew Birds of a Feather stamp set 3 times as shown in the picture onto a piece of red card stock. Using scissors, I cut it to banner shape.
- Fixed heart dies from Altenew Halftone Hearts Nesting Die Set each other using washi tape.
- Dry embossed hearts on the center of this card. On the Tab 1 of Sizzix Big Shot, I placed cutting pad-embossing pad-white card stock-nested hearts dies-cutting pad from bottom to top and ran it through.
- Stamped sentiment from Altenew Birds of a Feather stamp set with Altenew Permanent Black.
- Glued all elements using glue tape and foam adhesive and mounted the panel on A2 sized white card base.
Altenew Crafty Life stamp set
In my next card, I used old & new from Altenew. With newly released Crafty Life stamp set, I used Altenew Hug Me stamp set and created layout looks like 4 cut comic.
- Stamped foxes from Altenew Hug Me stamp set onto hot pressed watercolor paper. Stamped muffin from Altenew Tea Time stamp set and envelope from Altenew Crafty Life stamp set as well.
- Created masks for foxes using Altenew Hug Me Die set.
- Masked off the all foxes and ink blended the background using Distress inks. I used Festive Berries, Dried Marigold, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Sky and Mermaid Lagoon.
- Partially watercolored the background around foxes using same Distress inks and water.
- Stamped sentiments from Altenew Crafty Life stamp set as shown and foam mounted envelope image on the fox's hand.
- Applied Spectrum Noir Sparkling pen -Clear Overlay to the every hearts.
- Popped up watercolor panel on A2 sized white card base using craft foam.
Altenew Happy Bloom stamp set
For my 5th card, I
- Silver heat embossed the bouquet from Altenew Happy Bloom stamp set onto black card stock.
- Colored inside the images using Prisma colored pencils.
- Heat embossed the sentiment from same stamp set using Altenew Caribbean Sky Embossing Powder.
